Qualifying Examination :
-
Candidates appearing for the VITEEE-2014 should have either completed or shall be appearing in 2014, in any one of the following qualifying examinations :
The final examination of the 10+2 system of Higher Secondary Examination conducted by the State Board, Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE, New Delhi), The Council for Indian School Certificate Examination (ISCE, New Delhi).
Intermediate or Two-year Pre-University Examination conducted by a recognized Board/ University.
High School Certificate Examination of the Cambridge University or International Baccalaureate Diploma of the International Baccalaureate Office, Geneva.
General Certificate Education (GCE) examination (London / Cambridge/Srilanka) at the Advanced (A) level.
Canditates who have studied in Regular, Full time and Formal Education are alone eligible to apply.

Candidates appearing for the VITEEE-2014 should have either completed or shall be appearing in 2014, in any one of the following qualifying examinations :

Eligibility Criteria in the Qualifying Examination :

Candidates appearing for the VITEEE in 2014 should have secured an aggregate of 60% in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics / Biology in the qualifying examination (+2 / Intermediate).
The average marks obtained in the subjects Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics or Biology (PCM / PCB) in +2 (or its equivalent) put together should be 50% for the following categories :- Candidates belonging to SC/ST
- Fill in the proforma as given in Annexure III and have it attested by a competent authority (The list of authorities empowered for the same is given in Annexure III).
- Candidates hailing from Jammu and Kashmir and the North Eastern states of Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim and Tripura.
- Fill in the CERTIFICATE TO PROVE NATIVITY (proforma given in Annexure III).
In case the marks statement is not produced by the candidates at the time of admission, the decision of the Management regarding his/her eligibility and admission to the programme shall be final.- Candidates who have studied Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics are eligible for all the 14 B.Tech. Degree Programmes.
- Candidates who have studied Physics, Chemistry and Biology are eligible for B.Tech. Bio-Medical Engineering and Biotechnology and Engg (Spec. in Bioinformatics) but after joining, registering Mathematics as bridge course is mandatory.

It is the responsibility of the candidates to ascertain whether they possess the requisite qualifications for admission. Having been called for the test / counselling does not necessarily mean acceptance of the eligibility.
It is mandatory that all the original relevant documents (such as Marks statement, Transfer Certificate, Conduct Certificate, etc.,) should be submitted to the Admissions Office at the time of admission.
Admission to various programmes will however be subject to verification of facts from the original certificates/documents of the candidates. In case any discrepancy arises, even at a later point of time after admission, the management reserves all right to cancel the candidate’s admission and this decision shall be final.

Age Limit :
- Candidates whose date of birth falls on or after 1st July 1992 are eligible to apply for VITEEE-2014. The date of birth as recorded in the High School / SSC / X Certificate will be considered authentic. Candidates should produce this certificate in original as a proof of their age at the time of counselling, failing for which they will be disqualified.
- The admission will be purely on the basis of the marks secured in the VITEEE-2014, conducted by VIT University.
- Candidates who have not appeared for the VITEEE are not eligible for admission.
- The candidates will be short-listed based on their entrance examination marks and will be called for the counselling.
- We do not accept cash. We collect fees only in the form of Demand Draft.
- We do not have any agents
- If any one demands any cash, Please report it to vigilance@vit.ac.in to enable us to take legal action.
- VIT Engineering Entrance Examination will be conducted from 09.04.2014 to 20.04.2014
- The duration of the entrance examination will be 2 hours 30 minutes.

Question Paper :
- All Questions will be of OBJECTIVE TYPE.
- PART-I – Physics
- PART-II – Chemistry
- PART-III – Mathematics / Biology
- Candidates attempting Parts-Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics are eligible for all the 14 programmes offered.
- Candidates attempting Parts-Physics, Chemistry & Biology are eligible for B.Tech. Bio-Medical Engineering, Biotechnology and Computer Science and Engg (Spec. in Bioinformatics) programmes only.
- The selection of pattern (Physics/ Chemistry / Mathematics or Biology) has to be decided at the time of slot booking.
- All the questions will be mostly from the State Board of Higher Secondary Education and the CBSE syllabus only. The syllabus for the Entrance Examination is given in APPENDIX-IV of this Brochure.
- Each part has 40 questions and each question carries one mark.
- Each question is followed by 4 alternative answers. The candidate will have to choose the correct answer and click the same.
- No negative marks for wrong answers.

Stage1 - Registration :
- Candidate should fill the personal information
- It is mandatory to provide valid email id
- Candidate Name, Date of Birth and email id cannot be changed. Hence provide correct information
- Immediately on filling up of the information, a password will be sent to your mail id
- Now proceed to step 2 with the received password

Stage 2 – Confirmation of Password :
- Login to Step 2 with the email id and password
- Now proceed to online application form

Stage 3 - Filling up of online application form :
- Kindly refer the Information Brochure carefully, before filling the application form
- Fields Marked with an asterisk* are mandatory.
- Provide all the relevant details carefully
- Candidates Date of birth should be on or after 01.07.1992
- Change of Test City will not be entertained

Stage 4 - Selection of Mode of payment :
- Select the appropriate mode of payment as DD mode or Netbanking / Debit card / Credit card Mode
- Immediately on submission of the application form at this stage, an application number will be generated
- Candidates are requested to note down the application number
- All the future correspondence will be made on the application number only

Steps to be followed, if application fee is paid through Demand Draft
- Get ready with a computerized Demand draft for 925/- drawn from any Nationalized Bank in favour of the 'VIT University', payable at Vellore.
- The cost of VITEEE-2014 application fee for NRI candidates is 50 USD
- Write your Application Number, Name, Address and Mobile Number on the back side of the Demand Draft
- Fill the details of Demand Draft (like DD number, DD Date, Bank Name etc,.) on the system
- Send the printout of filled-out application form after affixing the photo and signature along with the DD (computerized DD)

For candidates not having the Demand draft in hand :
- After taking the Demand draft login to the system directly, from step 2
- Fill the details of Demand Draft (like DD number, DD Date, Bank Name etc,.)
- Send the printout of filled-out application form after affixing the photo and signature along with the DD (computerized DD). [Format of address on envelope to be affixed on cover is available in the printout page]

Steps to be followed, if application fee is paid through Online payment gateway i.e., Net Banking / Credit card / Debit card Facility :
- Select the mode of payment as referred
- After submitting the payment information, candidate should wait for the intimation from the server, DO NOT press back or Refresh button in order to avoid double charge.
- On successful completion of transaction, acknowledgement receipt with the transaction number will be generated and you can take the printout of the acknowledgement receipt along with the application form.

For Transaction not successful due to network issues / display of error page :
- For Transaction found not successful, even after the amount deducted from your account, please wait for 3 working days. On 4th working day, proceed to step 2 to know your transaction status. If again transaction is found incomplete, send a mail to ugadmission@vit.ac.in.

Stage 5 - Download the application form in the pdf format :
- Download the application form, affix the appropriate photograph and give the signature
- Send the Application form through Speed Post addressed to The Director - UG Admissions, VIT University, Vellore- 632 014, Tamil Nadu, India [Format of address on envelope to be affixed on cover is available in the printout page]

Instructions to fill the VITEEE-2014 OMR Application form
The Application Forms will be issued from 4th of December, 2013.
The Prospectus and the information brochure for the B.Tech. Degree programme - 2014, along with the necessary enclosures which include the Application Form and a printed self-addressed envelope, can be obtained against cash payment of 975/- from the various List of Post Offices as given.
- Candidates can obtain from the designated branches of post offices on cash payment of 975/-.
- By sending a Demand Draft for 975/- [Computerised DD] drawn in favour of ‘VIT University’ payable at Vellore to the address of Director - UG Admissions, VIT University, Vellore with a request letter containing the complete address with Mobile number.
